AMD Driver Issue

If your frame rate collapses on an AMD graphics card, this is a known problem with a known workaround.

Why is the frame rate so bad on an AMD card?

The game was originally written against OpenGL 1.0, and across many versions and many teams the client was never updated. Our development team is re-coding the whole client to a current version of OpenGL, which AMD drivers do support. It will not be like this forever.

Is there a driver that runs the game without the lag?

AMD driver 24.5.1 is the last version known to work well with Thang Global. You can find it online and roll back to it until the new client is ready.

If Windows will not let go of the current driver, the free tool DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) removes it cleanly.
